Luftwaffe Face Mask

Luftwaffe Flight Personnel's Face Mask (Kälteschutzmaske für Fliegendes Personal). This face mask was used by air crew in open-air cockpits and/or by Air Gunners to protect the face during cold weather. The flap can be opened for use with a mouthpiece oxygen system. The mask is nicely marked with 'L.B.A (S) 39' (Luftwaffe Bekleidungs Amt 1939). In my opinion a part of the elastic straps have been restored, see photos. Scarce original example in good used condition!
