Kriegsmarine Femaly Auxiliary Overseas Cap (Bordmütze für Helferinnen). Deep navy blue woolen cap having a golden-yellow wool piping around the fold down panel. The cap is complete with a hand applied BeVo woven cap-eagle. Originally the female auxiliaries wore the standard national eagle on the upper front of the cap and no national cockade, in May of 1944 regulations altered the placement of the national eagle to the lower front center of the fold down panel. The cap has a black polished cotton lining and is nicely marked with 'R-B-Nr. 0/0408/0036'. The cap is size 54 marked. There are some small damages to the lining material. The cap is in overall very good condition. Nice and scarce original Kriegsmarine female auxiliaries cap!
