Sold
$5600.00

Description

Period souvenir traditional pipe from Marianske Lanze a spa town in West Bohemia, Czech Republic. It was a popular tourist town in the 19th century up until the 1930s (after the war, it was sealed off from the Western world). The materials and hardware of the pipe are typical of the 1930's- 50's. These more traditional style pipes were a sort of novelty to many German soldiers and can be found in many original photos. It is marked Bruyere Garantie and 73059. It is in good condition and would still be very usable. There looks to be a small ring missing between the stem and the bowl. It measures about 5 3/4' tall.
