German, Franco-Prussian War, Cut Down Sword Fighting Knife

Original era manufacture. This is a great looking 1870 era fighting knife, made from a cut-down Prussian artillery sword, still displaying unif markings on the guard.Overall measurements are 15 inches, all steel construction except for the leather covered wooden grip. Unit markings on the guard, 35.A.11.5. Maker marked on the ricasso, PD Luneschloss on one side, and Solingen on the other.
