WW2 US M1 Steel Helmet With Low Pressure Liner .

Sold
£835.00

Description

One of the hard to find sets is that with the early low pressure liner . These liner were not made after late 1943 . This one has the clear HR stamp upon the disk at the liners inner crown . There is a good patina the leather sweat band remains intact and supple with a few sweat stains . The rear nape tape affixing strap has frayed to one end . The shell remains crack free and in a good form unlike so many surviving Low pressure liners . The outer shell is a textbook Schlueter version with a high percentage of the factory textured paint present . The chinstraps are very good and in a nice light tone having the flat brass buckle that came in at the end of 42 .
