Australian Pre Federation Henry Bayonet

A very good example of the Henry Yataghan Pattern. German contract blade with Weyersberg mark and no ordnance inspection or proof marks. These are indicators of an Australian issue bayonet. MRD 20mm. Original pressed leather grips and working locking stud. Comes with its leather scabbard with steel fittings. Overall light pit and stain to the pommel ,cross guard and scabbard fittings. The scabbard fits perfectly to the bayonet.Refer to Skennerton (1) Pages 271-272.
