Antique Irish Shillelagh

A good example of an antique Irish shillelagh. The shillelagh is an Irish fighting stick. Shillelaghs were used in Ireland for duels, similarly as other countries used swords or pistols.This blackthorn example measures 18' long and is in good condition with a rich dark patina. Circa 1900.
