German WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class, Female Ribbon

Original period manufacture. Magnetic center EK2, original ribbon in a bow for wear by a woman. At some point in it's life the cross was reversed on the ribbon, perhaps an error during a repair, or perhaps deliberately done as an insult to the deposed Kaiser by hiding the crown and his cypher W, with the medal then worn by a female relative of a fallen warrior.
