Original US WWII 6x42 Navy Binoculars By Square D Co (SARD) With Case-This is an original pair of 6x42 binoculars manufactured by the Square D Company (SARD) of New York for the U.S. Navy during World War II. Designed specifically for military use, these binoculars are valued for their wide field of view, rugged construction, and anti-reflective coated optics. While originally equipped with an internal rangefinder, this example doesnothave one present.The optics remain mostly clear, with only a few light specks visible on the left side that do not affect functionality. Please note that both rubber eyecups and the leather neck strap are missing. Although all original military markings are present, corrosion from improper storage has obscured them, making them difficult to read.Included is the original black leather case, which shows heavy wear consistent with age and use. The closure stud is missing, and the leather has dried and stiffened over time. The shoulder strap remains attached and complete but also shows signs of dryness.Despite cosmetic wear, this is a solid example of a wartime-issued U.S. Navy binocular set with its original case—ideal for collectors of WWII U.S. Navy optics or period field gear.
