Original German WWII Political Leader Officer's Belt Buckle By Giesse & Schmidt-This authentic belt buckle was part of the NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers' Party) political leader's dress uniform, worn by officers ranging from local to Reich-level officials. It served as a symbol of authority within the party structure and was distinct from military-issued buckles.Constructed from zinc alloy with a two-piece design, the buckle features a separately affixed roundel displaying a finely detailed NSDAP eagle surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. While the roundel has lost its original gilt finish, the prong bar still retains much of the original gold tone. The roundel retains very nice crisp details.The reverse is stamped with the RZM code 'M4/40,' indicating it was manufactured byGiesse & Schmidt.Despite some surface wear, this buckle remains invery good to excellent conditionand is a desirable piece for collectors.
