Original Weimar Republic Era Reichswehr Buckle

Original Weimar Republic Era Reichswehr Buckle-A pre-Third Reich belt buckle, constructed from silvered bronze. The obverse features a raised Heer-style German national eagle, encircled by a ribbed ring or rope bearing the inscription 'GOTT MIT UNS' ('GOD WITH US') and laurel branches. The reverse is equipped with a functional roller with attachment prongs,along with a catch. It is unmarked. A fine example of a buckle worn by both Reichswehr and early Wehrmacht Heer personnel, preserved in excellent condition.
