Rare Original Waffen SS Driver's License (Führerschein) 1st and 3rd Class

Rare Original Waffen SS Driver's License (Führerschein)-Military driver's licenses (Führerscheine) were issued to soldiers who had completed training and passed an examination for operating specific vehicles. These licenses were categorized into three classes:Klasse 1– MotorcyclesKlasse 2– TrucksKlasse 3– AutomobilesEarly in the war, these licenses were printed on grey oilcloth and typically included a photograph of the driver. However, as the war progressed and resources became scarcer, photos were often omitted due to supply constraints.Thisoriginal 1942-dated Klasse 1 & 3 Führerscheinis printed on grey oilcloth and features a rareattached photographof the Waffen SS soldier in uniform, clearly showing hisshoulder boards and SS collar tabs. The photo is secured withtwo small grommets, which exhibit slight rust from age and use, and bears anofficial ink stampin the bottom corner. Most surviving examples are missing the original photo or were issued without one, making this an exceptional find.Issued by theWaffen-SS Kraftfahrschule in ViennaonAugust 28, 1942, this license authorized the holder to operate bothmotorcycles and automobiles. It is personally signed by anSS-Hauptsturmführer und Kommandeur. While there is somefraying along the edges, the document remains invery good overall condition.Anextremely rareand desirable piece of Waffen SS history.
