Original German WWII Kriegsmarine Dagger Made By WKC

Original Third Reich 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Officer's Dagger By WKC- This is an original Third Reich 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Officer's Dagger by WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.) of Solingen. The blade, stamped with the 'WKC' maker logo, is in good condition but shows some corrosion and rust spots mainly on one side. The tip is intact and the blade fits tightly, with the original red felt buffer pad still in place.The lightning bolt-style scabbard is brass-based, dent-free, and has developed a nice patina. Both throat retaining screws are intact and unturned. The button functions well, securing the scabbard to the hilt. The cross guard and pommel, both brass-based, feature detailed fouled anchors and a proudly perched Kriegsmarine eagle, respectively.The grip is wood-based, covered in white celluloid, and is in excellent condition with no cracks. The brass double twisted wire wrap remains tightly intact. Additionally, the dagger comes with a nicely attached silver portepee, likely in place and untouched since the war. Overall, this Kriegsmarine officer's dagger is in excellent condition.
