The exterior retains85-90% of its factory-applied dark field gray textured paint, with scrapes and scratches visible on the dome from use. The split pins still have some of their original factory paint, though two show minor surface rust.TheHeer decal is approximately 60% intact, likely worn down due to field use. The interior retains most of its original paint, with some minor rust and scrapes present. The leather liner remains intact, showing significant wear, and still has itsoriginal drawstring attached. It is marked as asize 57.The helmet isstamped with batch number 415 and marked ET64. The original leather chinstrap is missing. Despite signs of wear, this helmet remains ingood condition, making it a solid example of a combat-used piece of German WWII militaria.
