Original German WWII M35 SA-Feldherrnhalle Double Decal Helmet EF62This rare and highly desirableM35 SA-Feldherrnhalle Double Decal Helmet(EF62) features the distinctive 'Feldherrnhalle' decal, depicting theField Marshals' Hallin Munich. TheSA-Standarte Feldherrnhallewas established in 1935 and renamed 'Feldherrnhalle' in 1936, serving as the elite unit of the SA. Tasked with guarding key SA, state, and party offices, the unit was headquartered in Berlin, with battalions stationed across Germany. It played a role in theGerman entry into Austria in March 1938and was placed underWehrmacht control in September of the same year.Thisauthentic M35 Feldherrnhalle helmetwas originally anapple-green Heer double decal helmet, one of onlytwo known Heer examplesreissued to the Feldherrnhalle—most wereLuftwaffe M35 helmets. It was repainted inbrownover the originalHeer and Tri-Color decals, with the interior rim also receiving the same paint treatment. The exterior brown paint showssignificant wear, retainingapproximately 40%of its original application.TheFeldherrnhalle decalover theHeer eagleisabout 30% intact, with theHeer eagle still partially visible.TheFeldherrnhalle decalcovering theTri-Color shieldisapproximately 80% intact, with small areas revealing theoriginal Tri-Color decal underneath.Theleather lineris fully intact, supple, and shows signs of use, retaining itsoriginal drawstring. It isfaintly marked size 55.Comes with theoriginal leather chinstrap, which is alsofaintly marked.What makes thisSA-Feldherrnhalle M35 helmet exceptionally rareis that it isone of only two known Heer reissuesfor theSA-Feldherrnhalle.
