Original Pre-Third Reich DRL (Deutsches Reichsabzeichen für Leibesübungen) Sports Badge By Wernstein Jena-This early version of the DRL Sports Badge features a vertical oval oak leaf wreath surrounding the cut-out letters 'DRL,' notablywithoutthe mobile swastika and bow at the base—clearly identifying it as a pre-Third Reich issue. The reverse is fitted with a vertical pin, hinged at the top with a catch at the bottom. Maker marked 'H. Wernstein Jena-Lobstedt' along with the registration number 'D.R.G.M. 33918.' Lightly used but remains in excellent condition.
