Description

This is a neat - albeit regrettably single! - NCO-type (ie. 'M40'- ie. 'M43'-pattern) shoulderstrap having the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: NCO ie. sergeant first-class who served within an infantry unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- and/or most certainly tunic-removed-), condition. The neat strap - which is approximately 11,5 cms. sized in length - shows the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and woolen-type piping and has the 'standard-pattern', silverish-grey-toned (ie. minimally sub-dued) NCO-braid and two (regular-sized, zinc-based) pips period-attached, denoting that the strap was intended for an NCO who held the rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel'. Both pips show some regular age and/or minimal tarnish. The strap comes mounted onto its functional tongie and does show some moderate age-, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never before in collectors'-hands and was recently found as such. Simply an attractive 'Heeres' NCO-type shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel der Infanterie-Truppen': too bad that it is only a single example!
