Description
A fabulous example of the Imperial German M18 transitional helmet refinished in the early third Reich period according to 1940 specification with rough grey/green paint finish & an army single decal in very good condition.Made by 'ET' with an apparent size of '64' it is interesting to note that the army decal is of a type well recorded as being seen on transitional helmets an example of this being found on page 334 of the superb reference book Germanys Combat Helmets by Ken Niewiarowicz . All three liner pins have paint matching the rest of the shell & are totall undisturbed with zinc liner band dated 1942. These helmets were still being worn by rear echelon units at that period .Superb example of the Army transitional helmet.
