These canvas assault pouches are of the simplified type, manufactured during the final phase of WWII (circa 1944–45), when material shortages and production speed led to streamlined field gear.These are two right bags but have always been connected like this from the factoryboth are a combination of two bags (former left and right ) in one with inner compartments and also a compartment with rubber liningBoth bags are made from rugged olive green canvas with steel hardware and identical construction—intended to be worn as a pair on either side of the Y-strap support system.Condition is very good ( mint ) with all straps, buckles, and closures intact.
