Description

A typical Junior NCO,s high quality issued example of the M1884 infantry kepi .Numbered to the 143rd infantry of the line a unit based in Castelnaudry-Carcassonne. The set comes with its dark blue kepi field cover and both are in a large size . This kepi is in very much above average condition and has suffered little with moth . The leather work is good and supple and the cover still retains a strong colour . The classic item of french headgear from the August 1914 period .The 143rd Infantry regiment were involved in many major battles including Ypres 1914 , Verdun 1916-17 & La Serre .
