Waffen-SS M43 Cap

This is a large size 59 Waffen-SS M43 cap, Dachau manufacture. The cap features late quality German wool, with exposed bill underneath. The front closure is two button, with the pull tabs and scallop seam buckram present. The lining is mouse grey cotton, and the trapezoid Bevo insignia is hand applied to the front. This application appears to be done at the factory, given the excellent appearance of the stitching technique. The finest cap makers such as clemens wagner were hand-applying their insignia throughout the war, so this is no anomaly. Excellent, large piece, COA accompanies.
