Waffen-SS Belt Buckle - 'O&C'

Early nickel-silver Waffen-SS EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). This is an early (circa 1932-1934) die stamped, solid nickel/silver construction, box belt buckle. The buckle features a smooth background with a high relief, embossed SS style national eagle surrounded by the script 'Meine Ehre heißt Treue!' (My Honour is Loyalty!). On the reverse, the buckle is nicely maker marked with the stamped initials 'O&C', indicating production by the company of 'Overhoff & Cie' from Lüdenscheid, and the buckle is marked with 'ges. gesch.'. The buckle is in very good condition showing some minimal staining and traces of years of storage. The prongbar is in slightly rusted condition. Nice original buckle in good condition!
