German P38 Pistol Holster 'jhg 44'

WH (Heer)/Waffen-SS P38 Pistol Holster (Pistolentaschen P38). When issued the P38 came with a specific holster to be worn on the left side of the load carrying waist belt. The blackened brown leather construction second pattern soft-shell holster has two belt-loops on the back. The holster body also has a stitched on spare magazine pocket. The softshell holster is nicely marked on the back with 'P38' and maker marked and dated with 'jhg 44' indicating production by the company 'Gustav Genschow & Co' in 1944. The leather is still supple. There is some damage to the spare magazine compartment, see close up photos. Nice original P38 pistol holster in good used condition!
