Italian M1871/87/1916 Bayonet, WWI Modified, Terni Arsenal

Original period manufacture. A clean example with the blade shortened to a 9 inch length and displaying a blue finish, Terni marked on the ricasso. Dark steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, long pattern lock spring and brown composition grips. There is a short stress crack in the reverse grip plate, running from the bottom of the pommel to the screw escutcheon.Brass mounted black leather scabbard in sound condition.
