US WWII M1 Garand Bayonet, AFH 1943

Original period manufacture. This is a project of sorts, needing just a little effort to bring it up for muster. Cut-down 10 inch blade, originally produced in 16 inch length in 1943. Mix of original finish and steel patina to the blade and guard, with clear markings on the ricasso. Dark brown plastic grips, the left side showing a crack near the screw opening. Original GI plastic scabbard with the bursting bomb emblem visible on the scabbard throat. The scabbard needs a repaint, as it now sports a mix black/white postwar paint job.
