US WWII USMC Canteen Cover & Enamel Canteen

Original period manufacture. Olive canvas cover, early production without the drainhole in the bottom. No makers marks as usual, typical age and wear. The enameled steel canteen was with the cover at the time of our purchase. Unmarked, minor typical chipping on the front, black plastic cap with attaching chain, no cork.
