Description

The very attractive - presumably issued albeit I deem simply never used nor worn! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards is piped in the typical darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by a fairly high-ranked officer holding the rank of a: 'Major der Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger-Truppen u. Mitglied einer Gebirgjägerschule' (ie. major who served within the mountain-troops and member with in on of the mountain-trooper-schools ). The attractive pair was simply never used nor worn and comes in a truly 'virtually mint', condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be impossible to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching in all details as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each - show a matching set of (neatly golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or fully identical) Gothic-styled: 'S'-cyphers period-attached, denoting that the officer who wore these was a member ie. officer who served within one of the: 'Gebirgsjäger-Schulen'. Both devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny) age-patina. The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended for usage as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive, 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Major der Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger-Truppen u. Mitglied einer Gebirgjägerschule'!
