Fire-gilt nice quality badge surmounted by a crown and in the centre is a separately affixed silver lion's head within a blue enamelled scroll bearing 'British Legion'. The reverse has lug and split-pin fixings.Excellent condition.The British Legion was formed in 1921 and in 1971, to mark its fiftieth anniversary it was granted the title Royal British Legion.
