A rather nice example of a Quist size 66 beaded Luftschutz or police M40 beaded helmet. The distinctive bead around the helmet indicates that that lot of helmets was defective and the heat treat did not harden it enough for military use, so the helmet was used to fulfill civilian roles. The cloth liner and leather chin strap are beautiful; the helmet itself is also quite clean with only minor wear. It has a paper tag inside for Simon and the name is also written on the liner. It is in very close to unissued condition. The paint color and finish is fairly typical for one of these. You do find some with decals but very often just plain helmets. Really a great example.
