'Variant'-pattern, WH (Heeres) officers'-type, machine-embroidered breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') as was executed in bright-silverish-coloured linnen ie. braid as was intended for usage on the various officers'-pattern tunics
Ships from: Netherlands
This is an attractive - so-called: 'variant'-pattern and I deem simply never used- nor worn! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type, machine-embroidered- (and quite detailed!) army-type breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being executed in greyish-silverish-coloured thread (and showing high-lighted areas in silverish braid!) on a darker-green-coloured- and/or 'smooth'-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (and as stated above simply never used- ie. still 'virtually mint'-), condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 10,8 cms. - is nicely machine- ie. partly hand-embroidered using (bright) silverish-coloured 'braid' on a darker-green-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and does show some 'high-lighted'-areas as executed in silver-coloured thread (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation - does show minimal usage and wear as can be noticed on the pictures: it is void of an additional 'backing' as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive example of a fairly luxuriously-styled, 'variant'-pattern WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle that is I deem accordingly priced!
