Korea 1950-54, contact marks, edge bruising, very fine (2)The recipient held the rank of Fusilier while serving with 1st Battalion Royal Highland Fusiliers, a Scottish infantry regiment of the British ArmyThe Royal Highland Fusiliers were formed in 1959, through the amalgamation of the Royal Scots Fusiliers (26th Foot) & the Highland Light Infantry (71st & 74th Foot)The regiments first overseas operational tour was to Aden Colony January 1960 - January 1961. When the regiment embarked for Aden their ranks included approximately 149 National Servicemen. In Aden Colony, the regiment was located at Singapore Lines - with a detached company group located in Mukeiras in neighbouring YemenAfter leaving Aden Colony in 1961, the R.H.F. were deployed to Malta Colony (with 1 company posted to Benghazi, Libya) where they were based at St Patricks Barracks through to December 1962, when they returned to ScotlandThe next overseas posting of the R.H.F. was on a United Nations deployment to Cyprus where they served October 1965 to April 1966The medals mounted on card for displayCondition: The GSM with mild toning the pair about EF
