The medal retaining & fitted with its original long length of, now stitched, silk 'moire' ribandDuring the Great War Peter Grandison, served in order with three units, viz Scottish Horse Yeomanry at Suvla Bay / Gallipoli; then with 13th Battalion Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) in which he served as No. 316566 and latterly transferred to the Army Service Corps on 18 March 1917 (the A.S.C. was re-styled as Royal Army Service Corps in 1918). Corporal. Peter Grandison was disembodied from the British Army on 20 May 1919Medal verification: Private Grandison's entitlement to the 1914-15 Star (and the companion British War Medal & Interallied Victory Medal, is confirmed per the respective medal roll sources cited below:- 1914-15 Star: WO 329/2896.
