Only an estimated 1374 x medals issued with 'London Fire Brigade' reverseFireman Franz Joseph Huebner is confirmed serving with the London County Council Fire Brigade in 1911, at which time he was residing with his wife Flora Elizabeth Huebner at, 27 Commercial Road, Whitechapel, London (theNational Census for England & Wales refers)Franz Joseph Huebner son of German born parents Frederick Herman Huebner (a Cabinet Maker) and Elizabetha 'Eliza' Huebner (nee Sulzmann), was a native of, Marylebone, London, England, where he was born on, 3 April 1877. Franz followed his father to became a 'Cabinet Maker', however he gave up his trade in 1895, in which year he joined the Royal Navy at the age of 18 years (his extant 'Service Sheet' shows he enlisted under the name 'Frank Herman Hueber'. His Chatham Division naval service number was 181043. After taking his discharge form the Royal Navy, he joined the London Fire Brigade, which force he served for more then 20 years. He married Flora Elizabeth McDonald in London in1910. At the time of the compilation of the National Register for England & Wales (1939), Franz is recorded as a 'Sub Officer London Fire Brigade Retired'.
