The corded silk moire riband fitted with a 9mm crimp brooch. The mounting bar with intricate drop-lock clasp lock and hinged pin fittings as issued. The reverse of the mounting brooch with contractors hallmark 'LIGI'Note the medal was only instituted (retroactively) on 21 November 1941, with production halted only weeks later and for the duration of the United States participation in the Second World War during the period December 1941 - August 1945Eligibility and award criteria for the medal was open to all service personnel who had performed occupation garrison duty in either Germany, or the former Austria-Hungary, between the dates of November 12, 1918 and July 11, 1923The first Army of Occupation of Germany Medal was presented to General of the Armies Pershing, with retroactive presentations made to any service member upon application to the United States War DepartmentCondition: About EF
