Chinese WWII Officers Dagger & Scabbard, US Navy Souvenir

Original era manufacture. A recently purchased example from the son of the US Navy veteran who obtained the dagger in China, while helping to repatriate Japanese POW's after the end of WWII.Ten inch chromed steel blade with a thin central fuller on each side. The blade is clean, with a few spots of thin surface corrosion staining, mostly near the point.Faux turtle shell grips bound with a single strand of brass wire, and an elaborate decorated brass grip panel on each side displaying the Chinese Sun emblem. Chrome finished brass scabbard displaying minor surface dents, with elaborately decorated brass throat and chape.
