Description

This is a very attractive - and actually fairly rarely encountered! - example of a silver-coloured- and/or typical zinc-based, WH (Heeres) 'Heeres-Flak'- ie. 'GrossDeutschland-Division'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: '3./H.FlakArt.Abt. G.D.' and that as such belonged to a soldier (ie. NCO or even officer) who served within the third company of the: 'Heeres-Flak-Artillerie-Abteilung' (ie. army-anti-aircraft unit) within the: 'GrossDeutschland-Division'. The disc - which is still attached to its period linnen-based cord as worn - comes in an overall nice (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!): it does show the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn and shows some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered and was as such most certainly issued, worn- and/or stored for decades. The disc also shows the bearers'-blood-group-type (Type A) and shows a clearly stamped (very low) bearers-numeral that reads: '5'). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example still had a talisman (ie. luck-bringer) attached: being a golden-toned, catholic cross. Simply a 100% garuanteed original 'Heeres-Flak o. GrossDeutschland-Division'-related ID-disc that is priced according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirability!
