Description

Printed, coated calico, armband for wear by an Animal Guard of the National ARP for Animals or NARPAC. NARPAC was the acronym for the National Air Raid Protection for Animals Committee'. This was described officially as an 'animal lovers' voluntary wartime organisation that looked after the welfare of animals in time of war. Animal Guards provided ARP coverage for domestic animals. Originally intended to be fastened by safety pin closures. Excellent, clean condition with some minor storage marks. Scarce.
