Early Victorian QVC Royal Military College Sandhurst Bullion Badge

The badge of the RMC Sandhurst (motto on circlet: Vires Acquiret Eundo (We gather strength as we go) with the monogram letters 'RMC' to centre, Victorian pattern crown above and superimposed on trophy of arms (Flags and cannons). Fragile and considerable wear to black felt cloth in central device. Not come across this pattern before. Sandhurst had it owns band and I wonder whether this was a band related badge, worn by the college's bandmaster perhaps or senior NCOs of the permanent staff. Circa 45mm tall.
