German WWII Hitler Youth Josef Goebbels Award- This is a great looking little example. This badge is made of a solid zinc that has lost the majority of its silver finish. The eagle is a spread winged eagle that holds the Hitler Youth diamond. The runic script reads, 'Josef Goebbels Jugend Herberg' or Josef Goebbels Youth Hostel. There is some white verdigris to the right upper corner of the wing. There is a vertical pin on the reverse that functions as intended. On the reverse is the maker's mark, for Hoffstätter Bonn. This is a scarce pin that still looks good.
