German WWII Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze-This is a scarce, early stamped example of an IAB in bronze. A separate class, the infantry assault in bronze, was instituted on June 1st, 1940. The bronzed class had criteria similar to the requirements the Silver. There was, however, one notable distinction, the bronzed meant motorized Panzer troops, silver meant foot infantry. This medal has a great even bronzed tone, and very strong details. It shows light wear only. The pin setup functions as intended. A handsome badge.
