Ships from: United States
German WWII Deutsches Siedlerbund Non Portable Award or Radiator Plaque-The Deutscher Siedlerbund (DSB), or German Settlement Federation (also translated as the German League of Homeowners or German Settlers Union), was an organization active during the Third Reich. The DSB's activities were linked to the party goal of expanding German territories eastward and settling those areas with only ethnic Germans. The organization's efforts to promote home ownership and settlement were part of the broader program to build a 'national community'. This award has amazing details. The broad winged eagle and the clasped hands are very bold. The gray finish is in place, has nice burnishing. This is a high quality piece. There are two small holes on each side so you can mount this, possibly as a radiator plaque. This is in very good condition, and an unusual offering.
