Description
British (Airborne) Folding Stretcher. The strechter is in unussued condition i.e. with mainly ageing due to years of storage. , however the canvas being in excellent condition. There is no visible date or makers marked. Yet executed in the distinct British wartime brown finish. These stretchers were specially designed for Airborne troops and used for instance during D-Day and the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. The stretcher was strapped diagonally across the chest of the parachutist who jumps with it in this position. An attractive and very good condition British (Airborne) Second Pattern Folding Stretcher that would be hard to upgrade.
