LAND CUSTOMS DAGGER WITH ORIGINAL KNOT BY HORSTER.

Not an easy dagger to find as the Customs officers around Germany were not huge in numbers. Of similar size and shape to an army officers dagger.This one is by EF Horster but they were produced by various companies , Eickhorn and WKC for instance. This one is one of the brushed aluminium types, so the pommel, crossguard and scabbard fittings are all aluminium. Nice green leather grip with twisted wire wrap. Green leather scabbard covering. Blade is identical to an army dagger. This one is polished steel, with the Horster logo etched into the reverse riccasso. There is an original 42cm bullion knot tied in the correct manner. I believe there WAS a period green/silver Customs portapee but I have never seen a real one!! ALL the untouched and original Customs daggers I have owned, all have had a standard silver bullion knot.The sale of Knives and other Edged Weapons are restricted to those aged over 18.
