Crimea Medal, clasps: ALMA/BALAKLAVA/INKERMAN/SEBASTOPOLNamed to: PTE.JNo McDERMOTT 68TH REGT.Medal very fine with some contact wear, letters on PTE and REGT a little worn, and edge bruise.Top wearing pin mounted on Sebastopol clasp.Naming engraved in upright capitals. all clasps confirmed on the medal rolls, copies supplied with medal.John McDermott was born on Armadown, Hedford County Galway Ireland in 1829.He attested for the 68th Foot on 21st November, 1849(no 2768)He served in Malta and the Crimea, being discharged on 30th October 1856 as 'no longer fit for service.Service and pension papers available online.
