Description

All three medals are in nice condition with the ribbons mounted on hard card. Details stamped around the rim... 290018 SJT. R.S.Meager. Welsh R. with the Territorial medal having him down as the 7/Welsh.It would appear that Meager, born in Swansea the son of the renowned ship builder David Meager served in France and Flanders with the 17th Welsh (Glamorgan Bantams) and the 9th Welsh, both battalions terribly mauled during this time. In 1939 he is listed as an ARP warden employed by the GWR. He died in London,1961. Turns out to be a better set of medals than i first thought, cheers Dan!!
