Robertsons Golly footballer yellow waistcoat pre war badge MELSON PRODUCTS

A very scarce original pre war circa 1937 - 1939 period 'Robertson's Footballer Golly badge' bearing metal hands and feet, wearing a yellow V-neck waistcoat displaying the advertising slogan 'Golden Shred' and kicking a dark blue and white ball, the reverse stamped in relief with maker's details 'Melson Products Ltd B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or loss of enamel, very minor surface scratches.Height approx 33mm.
