Reproduction Wool Puttees

Reproduction wool puttees. Reproduction of what? I don't know. They seem to be more Italian in pattern than German. Might be a WWI repro. I don't know where these came from or why I own them. Length: long. They are very long even for puttees. I don't know that they've ever been used, but they do have some storage wear / general dirt.
