Original Pre 1940 Dutch army Gele Rijders uniform jacket 'Dolman'

This rare Dutch Army daily uniform jacket, also called a 'Dolman,' was worn by an artilleryman of the Rijdende Korps Artillerie, the famous Gele Rijders, from the pre-1940 period.This dolman is executed in dark blue cloth and richly decorated with yellow wool cord hardware and brass buttons in the characteristic double row system.The back features the typical decorative piping and closure loop.The sleeves and collar are beautifully finished with yellow trimming.Several size and inspection stamps are visible inside, including 'B,' '604' and '52.'The jacket is in authentic, worn condition with signs of use appropriate to its age.The lining, in particular, shows wear, but the ensemble is still complete and very presentable.The Gele Rijders formed the riding artillery corps of the Dutch army since the early 19th century and were known for their mobility, parade skills and striking uniforms.In the run-up to World War II, the corps remained an important symbol of tradition within the Royal Army.The combination of ceremonial splendor and military discipline made them a recognizable and valued part of the Dutch armed forces.Unique for the Dutch army or Gele Rijders collection!Article number: 16019Originele Pre 1940 Nederlands leger Gele Rijders 'Dolman' uniform jasDit zeldzame Nederlands leger dagelijks uniformjasje, ook wel 'Dolman' genoemd, werd gedragen door een artillerist van het Rijdende Korps Artillerie, de befaamde Gele Rijders, uit de periode vóór 1940.Deze dolman is uitgevoerd in donkerblauw laken en rijkelijk versierd met geel wollen koordbeslag en messing knopen in het karakteristieke dubbele rijensysteem.De achterkant is voorzien van de typerende sierbies en sluitlus.De mouwen en kraag zijn fraai afgewerkt met geel passementwerk.Binnenin zijn diverse maat- en inspectiestempels zichtbaar, waaronder 'B', '604' en '52'.Het jasje verkeert in authentieke, gedragen staat met gebruikssporen passend bij de leeftijd.Met name de voering toont slijtage, maar het geheel is nog compleet en zeer representatief.De Gele Rijders vormden sinds begin 19e eeuw het rijdende artilleriekorps van het Nederlandse leger en stonden bekend om hun mobiliteit, paradevaardigheid en opvallende uniformen.In de aanloop naar de Tweede Wereldoorlog bleef het korps een belangrijk symbool van traditie binnen de Koninklijke Landmacht.De combinatie van ceremoniële pracht en militaire discipline maakte hen een herkenbaar en gewaardeerd onderdeel van de Nederlandse strijdkrachten.Een prachtige jas voor de Nederlands leger of Gele Rijders collectie!
