'Reichsbahn' Overseas Cap

'Deutsche Reichsbahn' Overseas Cap (Schiffchen). 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' was the name of the German national railway, from 1937 it was organized as the DRB. This is an standard EM/NCO's overseas cap as introduced in 1936. The dark navy-blue cap is having a red coloured piping and is complete with its original period machine-sewn BeVo-woven flat-wire cocarde, the cocarde is a black coloured Panzer Officer's type which has been originally applied to this cap. A post-war Reichsbahn cap insignia is applied above the cocarde, probably the cap has been reissued in the early post-war German Railway organisation. The grey cotton lining is nicely RB.Nr. marked and size '55' marked. Nice original example in very good condition!
