Description

This is a neat - and I deem just moderately used- and/or worn - example of a WH (Heeres) (bright) silver- ie. golden-coloured and (I deem) typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based and clearly maker- (ie. 'F&B'- thus by the company: 'Funke & Brüninghaus'-) marked, so-called: 'M43'-pattern cap-badge (ie. 'Mützenabzeichen') depicting an: 'Edelweiss'-flower as was used by the various 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troops-) related divisional-staff throughout the war. The piece is executed in (typical) zinc-based metal and having a separately attached, golden-toned (and I deem) 'Buntmetall'-based 'core' attached as is more often the case (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge is a tiny bit stained but was never cleaned nor polished. Simply a great occasion to acquire a 100% original 'Gebirgsjäger'-related cap-badge for a competitive price!
